There are a bunch of blurring effects like this and on stronger PSI that I've never seen before. Something the emulators I've previously used couldn't do?

PSI Shield Ω is a reliable way to kill Ghosts of Starman but be sure to give Paula the Rabbit's Foot. I didn't, and, well, the game's initiative is goofy enough that she won't always be able to set it up fast enough.

I'm not very good at designing dragons at all.

Incidentally Paula and Kumatora are the only playable characters in their respective games who don't have the leading party spot at some point, besides Claus. I would've liked to see Kumatora's return animation on the game over screen, but she doesn't have one.

Every time I thought to make this wooper stand-in for me evolve, I went and did something else unbelievably careless

At this point, you have an open world to lollygag around in. So it's like Dead Rising without the dead, or Postal without the absurd violence

I think this is the ultimate message of the EarthBound series. Every NPC has something they want to talk about. The world doesn't revolve around the player. There are countless characters who won't say or do anything to help you, and those who do often do it by coincidence. It's a refreshingly alive world that few plot-heavy games bother to have.

I think this call from him might be an oversight. He doesn't call you in Fourside if you never talked to him... this time I think somebody forgot to program the game to check if you ever met him or not

Dungeon Man is crazy cool.

It's at this point in the game you may as well just get rid of Jeff's weapons forever

Both wield baseball bats and yo-yos, embody a sort of 'American dream' ideal and fight aliens. Both are in series lacking regional releases.

Through rain, sleet, snow, deserts, dungeon mans, swamps. You may never have noticed if, like me, you never order from Mach Pizza, but there is a joke between the two of them. Escargo Express is named after snails but delivers very quickly, while Mach Pizza is much slower.

This is the ONLY reason money is a gameplay mechanic in EarthBound, to buy Multi Bottle Rockets

SWOOP is an anagram of WOOPS

I think there are other instances in the game of a character offering something for free and prompting the window for how much cash you have. I've always thought it was silly
