Shadow Temple follows the Well as a favorite Zelda dungeon but for another reason: how explicit its purpose is. It's a combination torture chamber/catacombs. A REAL dungeon. Arbiter's Grounds kinda beats it out as a realistic prison though

This is when it occurred to me that OoT was the first game depicting a reality where Link didn't die in OoT

It should have been Nayru's Wind. Being aware of when to use it fits the wisdom motif better than courage. Not that Farore's Love would have made sense either, but at least one of them would!

Rupees don't look like a feasible currency at all

The treasure was a big dusty mummified... never mind

It bums me out how not-that-useful the Silver and Golden Gauntlets were. They look badass.

Lizalfos are totally kobolds. Which makes dinolfos kobolds with breath weapons.

Maybe if I had the Spacesuit of Time

I'd previously assumed dungeons counted on the world maps' greater locations...

But nope! First dungeon. Whaddya know.

Iron Knuckles and Ganon would deal 16 hearts of damage per hit. Also... I think Deku Scrubs are just my second-favorite Zelda race after the Minish. I have taken plenty of excuses to draw them

It is impressive how many villain stereotypes Ganon embodies without becoming an uninteresting character.

I keep forgetting the game will pause when I want to change items and equipment. But a game like Dark Souls set in Zelda's world would be up too many of my alleys to count...

I ended up taking two hits from the Iron Knuckle. One fairy lost.

In Master Quest the Lens of Truth is guarded by five ReDeads. I wonder if anyone saw that and just gave up...

I think I realized their value thanks to OoT3D and its fourth item slot. For a good chunk of the game I had them set to X or II because I had nothing else to assign to the buttons.

My favorite dungeon.

This one got a large number of yeahs. Everyone agrees and wants to marry Link. 's red tunic.

It turned out to be a puzzle nigh-impossible without fire arrows, and the stalfos were optional

The game set me up for a wang joke and I DIDN'T take it!

100% Completion Baby

I lost all my fairies to Stalfos and got killed by Phantom Ganon once. The challenge is still mostly in the puzzles defying logic, but 3D Master Quest is serious.

You can shake the hat off the hook, the fisherman will charge you 50 rupees and never get it back... but I reeled it in and gave it back. I'm not a total monster :<

Killing every gold skulltula is the one thing I didn't do in GameCube Master Quest that means I didn't 100% complete it.

This fairy fountain is deep. And expansive.

It's hard to write and draw on the right edge of the picture on 3DS Miiverse. The pen is horribly inaccurate over there.

It would've been a nice touch if the path to Link's house was overgrown in the future. I'm a little surprised the awesome environment artists for OoT3D didn't think of that.

What was Ingo's angle at trapping Link in the ranch? Come one come all to the great Ingo Ranch, ride a horse, have a drink of our famous milk, meet Link, play the Supercucco game... oh wait we got rid of that... but still, meet Link

I wonder if these came from the developers' notes from the production of the original game... 'Throw the boomerang at the big prehensile wiener (VERY IMPORTANT THAT THE BOOMERANG IS THE ONLY EFFECTIVE TOOL)'

Master Quest Where East is West

3DS Miiverse and me getting the urge to play Ocarina of Time (to finish 3D Master Quest and get 100% completion) coincided so YA KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS

I picked up from having cleared the Deku Tree, gotten Epona's, Saria's and the Sun's Songs. If I remember right, over a year ago, Dampé wouldn't dig up the damn heart piece and I stopped there. I realized I could Miiverse in Dodongo's Cavern.

I miss Deku Scrubs. They were introduced in OoT, given huge presence in MM, and then suddenly mostly forgotten. Even in Skyward Sword where they CLEARLY make a comeback and oh no wait those are Octoroks never mind
