Back from my trip that involved Comic Con

My friends and I left on Thursday. Thursday was spent at Six Flags Magic Mountain, we got to ride all the best things. The lines were shorter than normally expected. Then we ate at Red Lobster. Crazy. Friday we drove from Valencia to Santee where my aunt and uncle live, went into San Diego proper to see Captain America. Great film. Saturday, we went to the beach and later went to a stand-up show by Demetri Martin, who almost made me choke on my own laughter. Then on Sunday we actually went to Comic Con. It was the last day so craploads of things were on sale. I only went to one panel, about New 52, but I’m not so big on DC so it wasn’t really relatable to me. From afar I saw gameplay of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3–and the players were using Only characters who were in Unfinished MvC3. Way to miss the point, man. I played a few minutes’ worth of the Captain America game. I got to use a Cintiq for the first time.

My laptop is dead. I made all my comics on that. It really is time for me to get a new computer though. Till then I will have to make comics with my desktop. You won’t know the difference, really…

Final Link (The Minish Cap)

Pegasus Boots, Roc’s Cape, the Mole Mitts, Power Bracelets, Mirror Shield, and the Four Sword. Oh and also Ezlo.

FINALLY beat Minish Cap. A fine game. How I wish it had been made for the GameCube instead, with graphics like… Super Mario Galaxy’s, I guess. Maybe when those guys finish that remake of Link’s Awakening they or somebody else can use its engine to make something like that?

Man if anyone who wants to do that or would be interested in getting a team together to do it, I’d be all. over helping out with the graphics. I am teaching myself 3ds Max (incidentally I’m trying to rig a model of a Minish that I made, for practice… you’ll see that later) and have a moderate buttload of texture know-how…
