Lots of cool things happen in the foreground. Sometimes Pit beats up Donkey Kong. Sometimes Mr. Game & Watch throws sausages at Wario. Sometimes Ganondorf turns into Ganon and plows right through Princess Peach, Solid Snake and Charizard. That’s how a Smash Bros. stage should be. There should be a lot of eye candy, but it should leave us alone.
Doesn’t mean I want every stage to be Battlefield and Final Destination either. I like walk-off death zones and irregular terrain sometimes. But please, just let us fight.
This is also why Super Smash Bros. 4 should have a hazard switch on the options menu like in Super Smash Flash 2 so you can choose whether you want ridiculous hazards on your stage or not.
Iunno, it looks like all the cool stuff happens in the background. But cool nonetheless.

Well yeah…
But the worst part is when the background has almost nothing to do whatsoever with the stage itself. *cough*NewPorkCity*cough*
