Remember that episode of Arthur where Arthur and D.W. are in a name-calling war of sorts and keep looking up fancy words to use against each other? And then D.W. has a dream where Arthur is an evil wizard who keeps calling D.W. by her full, silly name, so she whispers something so bad into his ear that he melts. It really drove the point home: the key to sounding smart, and to having verbal weapons not to be trifled with is to avoid using the same words over and over.
Ahh, the days of my youth. Like the scent of fresh lemon… you see.
