the concept for this part was the first thing that gave me the idea to try and arrange a vocalization of the comic. It's just... a little tough to express both what someone is saying, and the fact that almost nobody understands it. And I hate translation asterisks. Hate hate hate hate.

As for the name gags, that's slightly topical. I've been told that Red has been referenced by name more often in HeartGold and SoulSilver when compared to Gold and Silver. There's just this sad, sad generation of gamers who don't know that Red's name is not Ash. Brawl's naming him Pokémon Trainer not only removes all sense of attachment to the character, but makes no sense. Ness, Link, Lucas and other characters in Smash Bros. can be freely named by the player. What makes Red unworthy of his default name?

Whatever, I'll just go play Brawl and use PSI-Using Child and Hylian Hero.
