Red's Politoed. The first Pokémon he caught, as a Poliwag. Red jumped into the pond in Viridian City when he heard about Brock, and the rest is history. When Norbert grew up and got all huge and winged, King P became Red's usual traveling companion. As a result he's become a bit spoiled... as spoiled as a King.
